The true beginning of the Hipperson Construction safety management program occurred when the company gained Certificate of Recognition (COR) status from the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association in 2004.
Since then, it is of utmost importance that the COR standard is upheld in our company to ensure the safety of our employees, contractors and general public. This of course requires the participation of every employee in the company and the support and ongoing commitment of our senior management.
Our belief is that an effective safety management program delivers enhanced value to our clients, employees, sub-trade contractors and the public.

To become further compliant with even higher standards of safety, Hipperson Construction became an ISNet subscriber in 2009. ISNet is an online platform that allows Owner/Client companies to review and grade our current safety statistics and programs in order to complete projects on their sites.
Our commitment of time and money to ISNet has proven to be valuable in the measurement and effectiveness of our safety programs.

In 2013, the company developed the corporate Safety is In our Business logo to remind employees, and reinforce the concept, that safety is a part of everything we do, every day.
In today’s fast paced environment, online safety document technologies and virtual training opportunities are offering ways to quickly update our crews on the information they require to complete their work safely.

Once employees were convinced of the company’s ongoing commitment to the principles of a safety management program, there was a keen interest and demonstrated pride in improving company safety processes.
